In June, nearly 35,000 bootie-clad people attended the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. On average, each ticket holder visited 11 of the 40 homes. Bringing Dreams to Life
That yellow limestones could be Austin stone or Texas Limestone. I think I better stop here for today otherwise, if I add more images, the post would not load properly. “People would ask, ‘Is your client Tom Waits? ’ The rec room had a great recording studio and other rock ‘n’ roll pictures of Tom Waits on display, so people thought it was the rock star’s house. The truth is, the homeowners just like Tom Waits,” Dustin explains. Where is the dark gray dresser from in the master bedroom? I am looking for something very similar. Door and cabinet colors are to die for.
Beautiful new homes set among breathtaking landscapes only found in Southern Utah
The design work in this home was also so beautiful and inspiring! Brandalyn designed one of my favorite homes last year in the parade that I recapped here. Especially the natural wood finishes and the tile in the pool bath between the cabinets and the mirror. And that view is the icing on the cake! On a side note, one of the coolest trends I saw this year during the tour was these built in Christmas LED lights. They are programed with an app on the phone and have several different color and blinking combinations.
I saw everything from dark painted shiplap accent walls to patterned grids like this. While I fell in love with the whole home, I especially loved the kitchen and the mix of natural wood and white cabinetry. If you’re looking to build or simply remodel/redecorate a room a two in your home, you will for sure find lots of ideas and inspiration from these parade homes. That beautiful cabinetry paint color is Farrow and Ball Light Blue #22. The countertops are Cosmos Taj Mahal in a leathered pattern. It was such an inspiring home and I’ll be sharing the full home tour in a couple weeks because I took so many pictures. They also used Boothbay Gray on the main double door entry. So gorgeous mixed with the limestone. The builder told me that the beautiful floors throughout the home are an engineered wide-plank oak.
By the way, this house is for sale if you live in the Utah Valley area. My mom and I always fly to Colorado Springs in August to do their parade of homes . This will be our fourth year this year to go and spend time with my sister. The master bedroom accent wall in that one house has been shown in at least one bedroom in every Colorado Parade of homes for the past 3 years. I love that look and am wanting to do it in my guest room.
Best Exterior Design
The Boothbay Gray and the light blue cabinets are so serene and fresh looking. Thank you for bringing these photos and information to us. I’d like to ask about a simple feature and that is the mixture of hardware used on cabinets. How do you know when to mix a bar pull type with a button/mushroom knob? In one home, there were three types of pulls in one area.
I am so curious to find out where this stone came from. In yet another bathroom, the cement tile patterned floor really added beauty and drama. Patterned cement tile floors continue to be popular this year during the tour and a great way to add a pop of drama to a bathroom. The best of the best in home design, building and products.
I just don’t want to have to scrape the texture off of the walls! The exterior of this 11,582 square foot home is a combination of stucco and white limestone. The black window frames add such beautiful contrast. Accent walls painted in these dark moody colors are such a great way to add that moody drama to a space without painting the whole room and keeping it light and airy. In fact, I shared some inspiring accent walls and paint colors here if you’re looking for more accent wall inspiration.
Maps and addresses will be available on-line, beginning September 19th to anyone who has purchased a ticket on-line. I was just visiting some of the Parade homes yesterday, but didn’t make it to these beautiful homes. I may have to run up to see that Raykon home today! The houses I made it to were in Provo and Orem and my favorite was The House of AnJill in Provo. The decorator told me the owner has still never even seen this over $4 million house. I can’t imagine building something this grand site unseen.
